General Plant Laborer

Location: Ashland

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed below. This list shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.

  • Shipping and receiving of packages.
  • Building crates for specialized shipment of products and equipment.
  • Painting of units as required by customer specification or per supervisor’s instruction. 
  • Inventory management including stocking of parts, cycle counts, and adjustments in company ERP software. 
  • Operate a fork truck after training completed in-house.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mechanical Assembly (Will train if willing)
    • Product Conversions
    • Plumbing 
    • Welding
    • Applying proper torque values in assemblies
  • Understanding Basic Blueprints – Simple Information (Will train if willing)
  • Basic Fluid Power Principles (Will train if willing)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education 

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience and/or Training 

  • 1+ years of Hydraulic valve/pump conversion or training required.

Licenses/Certificates 

N/A

Technology/Equipment 

This position requires the ability to operate a variety of office equipment, such as a personal computer, calculator, telephone, scanner and copier, or others as required.

Other Qualifications

Employee must have a clean shaved face. No beards or mustache allowed due to operation with paint booth and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
