Technical Sales Representative

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Function primarily as Outside Sales and travel to customer locations as required.
- Establish themselves as the primary sales contact point at Dynex UK for specifically assigned distributor, direct user, and OEM accounts.
- Visit assigned accounts on a routine basis.
- Provide product training, demonstrate and familiarize accounts with new product(s) or any other activities as required and approved by the company.
- Visit assigned accounts on a routine basis.
- Provide technical advice and assist customers, as required, to specify Dynex product(s) into customer applications.
- Provide quotations including:
- Price(s), terms and conditions of sale, delivery dates, and/or any other relevant information required and/or approved by the company.
- Evaluate and develop key markets.
- Evaluate and identify market potential based on:
- Market Size
- Industries that are relevant to Dynex/Rivett Inc.
- Evaluate and identify market potential based on:
- Evaluate distributors for performance in key market locations.
- Recommend removal or addition of new distributors in key markets.
- Implement those changes and work with distributors to increase Dynex presence/sales.
- Recommend new products and/or changes to existing products to meet changing market needs.
- Assist with tradeshow exhibit preparations and participate as a Dynex exhibit representative at trade shows as required.
- Prepare and submit required reports on activities, i.e. call reports, expense reports, product sales forecast, annual sales plans, travel schedule/plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
- Direct experience selling technical products.
- Outside sales experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Travel as much as required by the job or as specified by upper management. Typical travel estimated to be 25-30% of each month.
- Valid passport and driver’s license.
Other Qualifications (Desired but not Mandatory):
- Hydraulic component and system training/experience is preferred, but other disciplines will be considered.
- Able to read and understand hydraulic schematic.
- Understand the principles of fluid power.
- Perform standard calculations related to flow, pressure, and power.
- Experience working with a fluid power or technical component distributor organization.
- Exposure to direct OEM sales.
- Ability to speak and/or write in additional languages besides English.
