Dynex News
Now that Offshore Technology Conference 2016 is behind us and we’ve had a chance to unpack and get back to the office, we thought we’d share a bit about the event.
Due to the oil price slump, not surprisingly, attendance at this year’s conference was lower than in previous years – still more than 68,000 attendees from 120 countries gathered to learn about new technology, share ideas, and develop business relationships.
This year Dynex showcased its pumps for wellhead control systems and panel systems. We also introduced our new QuickPack hydraulic power unit line. These compact, low-horsepower units are capable of providing up to 10,000 psi (700 bar).
If you weren’t able to attend, you can learn more about what you missed here.
A lot of things happened in the year 1969. That was the year Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon. It was also the year of a certain music festival that took place in Woodstock, New York. The cost of the average new house back then was $15,550.00, and the price of a gallon of gas was 35 cents! It was also the year that the hydraulic pump shown here was manufactured.
Now the checkball design has a reputation for outlasting the competition, but even we were surprised awhile back when that pump was returned for service. We had to check some pretty old (paper) records to determine the date of its manufacture.
We can’t guarantee, every Dynex pump will provide that kind of service, but there’s a reason people have been using Dynex checkball pumps for over 60 years.
Supporting our customers has always been a Dynex commitment. Wherever they may be found (warm, sunny locations are strongly encouraged!) we can be of help. For instance, Dynex recently worked in Brazil, well actually about 100 miles off the coast of Brazil, on an offshore Petrobras platform for a new project. We not only furnished the specially developed pump for this project, but, with the assistance of our distributor Guimmy Industrial Ltd., we provided hands on implementation and troubleshooting support.
Dynex has been a provider of hydraulic pumps for the Oil & Gas Industry for more than 15 years. In that time, we have been working with customers to apply these pumps on a variety of uses including Wellhead Control Panels, HPU Systems, and various other applications.
Our development efforts continue today with customers like Petrobras and others around the globe. Regardless of where it is, if you have a project that could benefit from innovative hydraulic solutions, don’t hesitate to contact us. This is just one example of how Dynex shows its commitment to “Proven Performance and Trusted Service”.
The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) attracts 80,000 visitors from 110 countries. Visitors can learn about new technologies and product solutions for the Oil & Gas industry. Dynex pumps for wellhead control and other hydraulic requirements will be on display in Booth 1501. Meet us to discuss how our pumps can lower your system costs.
Dynex products have been successfully used on: Wellhead Control Systems, Subsea Water Glycol Systems, Land-based Control Panel Systems, Portable Tool Power Packs.
